I'm Takshak, a software engineer from Kashipur in Uttarakhand, India. I studied computer science at Uttarakhand Technical University and started shipping for clients in 2023, while still in college: a frontend for an NFT ticketing startup first, then backends, a React Native app and, from 2025, smart contracts.
Since February 2026 I have worked full-time at BabyLoveGrowth.ai. The contract work and the Rust tools happen in the evenings, which the chart below makes plain.
How I work
Reproduce first, then fix the cause
A fix I cannot reproduce is a guess. I find the failing case, fix it where it starts, and run the same case again before calling it done.
Make failures loud
An error that is caught and dropped turns into days of missing data. I would rather a job fail on the spot, with enough context to act on, than quietly do nothing.
The smallest change that solves it
No speculative options, flags or abstractions. Code that does not need to exist has no bugs and needs no review.
Numbers come with a source
Every figure on this site links to where it came from and when I checked it. I try to hold my pull requests to the same standard.

When I work
2,293 commits across 52 repositories in the last year, by hour in India. The day job fills the afternoon; 30% of commits land between 22:00 and 04:00, and the busiest hour is 23:00.

Everything runs from the terminal where it can, and code on this site is set in JetBrains Mono, the face my terminal uses. I code to Beethoven, Mozart and Chopin.
